Dear members of the Connecticut College community,

I am writing to let you know that Carey Cseszko, an experienced financial and business management leader in higher education, will join Connecticut College as associate vice president for Finance on March 18.

She will provide leadership for the accounting and financial planning functions of the College, including general accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, insurance and risk management, purchasing, payroll, audit, tax, treasury, debt, grants, and student accounts. She will also provide data and support to the vice president of Finance and the Board of Trustees regarding financial and capital planning; review and ensure quality of all external financial reporting, including institutional surveys, financial statements, tax returns, and reports to Board of Trustees and rating agencies; and manage debt operations and bond issuance activities of the College.

Carey received a bachelor of arts degree from Pennsylvania State University, a bachelor of science degree from Western Governors University and a master of business administration degree from Georgia State University.

She has more than 20 years of experience in finance and administration, including her most recent position as controller at Post University, where she led fiscal operations and collaborated across campus to support the financial health of the university. Previously, she held roles at the American Higher Education Development Corporation, Indiana Mentor, Thomas P. Miller & Associates, Salem Education, Kaplan Higher Education and Georgia State University.

This appointment will help to restore much needed bandwidth to the Finance team. Please join me in welcoming Carey. Thank you.
